Quick Start
First launch: A sample case "AirPods Pro 2 Return" is created automatically so you can see how a filled-in case looks. You can delete it after creating your own first case.
2. Add a new case: Tap the New Case tab Take Photo or Choose crop if needed tap Scan Evidence.
3. Review extracted info: ProofCase auto-detects the order number, total, tracking number, and dates.
4. Save the case: Edit title or notes if needed, then save.
5. Email a merchant: In any case, tap Email support pick a template (Refund, Warranty, Return, Chargeback, General). Mail.app opens with a pre-filled draft.
6. Export a PDF: Tap Create Report to generate a clean PDF with the image, OCR text, details, status, and notes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ProofCase work without internet?
Yes. Everything runs on your device OCR, storage, reminders, PDF export. Only the Email template opens the iOS Mail app.
Where are my cases stored?
On your device only, in the app's private SwiftData container. The home screen widget reads them via a shared App Group, but they never leave the device.
How do I add the Home Screen widget?
Long-press an empty area on your Home Screen tap + at the top search "ProofCase" choose the widget size Add Widget.
How do I change the language?
ProofCase uses your iPhone's language. Change it in Settings General Language & Region iPhone Language. ProofCase supports English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Arabic.
Why is there a colored countdown on my return case?
ProofCase detects the return deadline from the OCR text. The banner color signals urgency: green (>7 days), orange (47 days), red (13 days), red "closing today" (today), gray (window closed).
Can I sync between iPhone and iPad?
Not in this version. ProofCase is local-only by design. iCloud sync may come in a future update as opt-in.
How do I delete a case?
Open the case tap the menu in the top-right Delete Case confirm.
Does ProofCase send data anywhere?
No. ProofCase has no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs, and no servers.
