Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
ProofCase is built with privacy as a core principle. ProofCase does not collect any data about you. All your cases, photos, OCR text, notes, and reminders stay on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party tracking.
What ProofCase does NOT collect:
No personal information
- No usage analytics
- No crash reports sent to us
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
- No contacts, calendar, or photos library (you choose individual photos when you tap Choose)
- No third-party SDKs (no Facebook, Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
What stays on your device:
The cases you create, photos of receipts and screenshots you scan, OCR text extracted by Apple Vision (entirely on-device), notes and follow-up reminders, app preferences (theme, Face ID lock state, language). This data is stored via Apple SwiftData in your app's private container, plus a small shared App Group used to keep the Home Screen widget in sync.
Apple Vision OCR:
ProofCase uses Apple's Vision framework to recognize text in your photos. All OCR happens on your device. Images are never uploaded to any server.
Notifications:
If you set follow-up reminders, ProofCase schedules local notifications via iOS. These do not leave your device. We do not use push notifications.
Mail.app integration:
When you tap an email template, ProofCase opens the system Mail app with a pre-filled draft. We do not send the email you do. We have no visibility into who you email or what you send.
Children's privacy:
ProofCase is intended for general audiences age 13 and up.
Changes to this policy:
