Our Team

Hello, I'm Siya Iyer, a rising junior at Dougherty Valley High School. I will teach Math Courses, Programming Basics, and will be running the Letters of Thanks Design Contest. I will be taking AP Calculus BC next year and have been playing the piano since I was 5 years old. As a child, I worked with a programming language called Logo and used what I learned to create games in Scratch. Later, I also indulged in Javascript and some Python.

I feel that social distancing has virtually brought us closer together. Our project was created as a response to further strengthen our communities' bond, while also addressing health threats like this one. I look forward to mentoring students to help them engage in new activities and expand their knowledge!

Hi, I'm Harika Muthalraj. I am an incoming junior in Dougherty Valley High School. For Project Skills Outreach I teach the Math Courses, Programming Basics, and Piano Basics. I am going to take AP Calculus BC in the upcoming year along with AP Music Theory and Choir, which I have been taking since elementary school. I have been learning and playing the Piano for about 12 years. My programming journey started when I learned a language called Logo and taught myself Scratch, and soon moved on to learning Python. The situation we are going through right now is one that we will all hopefully never go through again. To help the CDC and young kids get through this time, we thought to create virtual classes so they can keep themselves occupied. Just remember, it will all end soon, safely and soundly, and we can get through this together. I can't wait to see you in upcoming classes!

Hello, my name is Sanjana Iyer. I am an incoming junior at Dougherty Valley High School. For this year's summer program, I will be offering Math tutoring and Piano lessons. I have played piano for about 12 years and am completing the last level of the Certificate of Merit Piano Exam. In addition, I have been a part of school choir for 6 years. After high school, I hope to go to medical school and pursue my dreams of becoming a doctor. I am very passionate about contributing to help fund research for the Coronavirus. I want to play a big role in uniting our community during these tough times and hope to contribute to COVID-19 Relief by expanding students' knowledge. I look forward to meeting you guys in our upcoming classes.
