Our vision
Increase the rate of recycling and upcycling by sorting paper and plastic waste before it reaches landfills and becomes contaminated. This would be done through financial incentives given to households recycling uncontaminated plastic and paper waste. A local committee or a responsible person would be appointed to ensure successful implementation.
Introduce a revenue model to make this waste management cycle from households to recycling facilities self-sustaining. 20% of the plastic/paper selling price would be given to the responsible person.
Engage the unemployed and underprivileged people working as "tokais" in streets and landfills. Ensure their proper pay and health safety.
Collaborate with city corporations and recycling facilities to make the waste management sector more organized and monitored.
Establishing an accessible, effective, and safe recycling facility for plastic and electronic waste. Currently, the few recycling facilities in Bangladesh operate with little to no regard of safety rules and there is a lack of e-waste disposal act too.
Connect citizens and locals through online and social media platforms to inform them about their nearest recycle pickup and drop-off points. One kg submission of plastic/paper equals to 1 point in their monthly evaluation chart.
Provide multiple dustbins in streets to manage road-side trash. The location of nearby dustbins would be indicated by a signboard or specific color so that people can spot them from afar.
Set-up public toilets for the convenience of people so that they do not pollute public spaces inconsiderately.
