Impressed BTCL Authorities by our hard work and dedication. Got invited by them for tea and got 500 tk as recognition for our work in the community. Around 10 BTCL officials visited our site daily and praised us for our work.
The 2 clean-up workers we worked with, stop urinating in that place and throwing waste. As they understood how easy it was to litter but how hard it was to clean it afterwards.

CHALLENGES FACED AND LIMITATIONS
Challenges are the whetstones that sharpens the blade of wisdom.
Delay in obtaining permission from required authorities:
We surveyed the locals about the ownership of the site that we had set to work on. We were directed to the 19th ward council and afterwards we found out that the area belonged to the 20th ward council. We went to the BTCL office at TNT colony but they were unwilling to sign the permission letter without contacting Headquarters. So, we had to sign the Permission letter from BTCL Headquarters at Eskaton.
Budget planning:
The calculation of the budget was off for which we later had to adjust. Some items were more expensive than the amount allocated for them.
Lack of volunteers:-
Couldn't gather enough volunteers for clean-up so had to move on to Plan B and incorporate local clean-up workers.
Cancellation of clean-up worker:-
The person contacted to provide garbage vans and shovels, cancelled the day of the clean-up.
Cancellation of painter:-
The Person contacted for prepping the wall with sandpaper and weather coat canceled the morning of the job.
Reclamation of area:-
A local organization tried to reclaim our work as theirs by hanging their organizational logo.
Perception of locals and authorities regarding waste. They were unwilling to change and demotivated us saying our work would have no value.
The house owner adjacent to the playground area was uncooperative.
Communal conflict among a few families in the area adjacent to the playground.
The unwillingness of neighbors to share water for cleaning the algae off the wall.
Team's presentation skills and communication of ideas to others.
