What We Do
Project PATCH is a student-led club that uses science, engineering, and creativity to solve real-world problems. Each quarter, we focus on a specific issue—like water contamination, plant health, or stress—and work together to research, design, and build simple, low-cost solutions that can help people and/or society.
What That Looks Like:
We pick a local or global problem related to the environment, biology, or technology
We research the issue and brainstorm possible solutions
We design and build prototypes using low-cost materials
We test our builds, improve them, and create 8–10 final versions
We document the process and post progress online
And pick original or creative designs/solutions to present to organizations that could use them
We’re a hybrid club—some members work in person, and others help virtually. Remote members can contribute to coding, research, outreach, and design, while in-person members focus on building and testing.
Whether you like engineering, science, design, or just solving real problems, there’s a way for you to get involved.
