Clarifying how to Measure Success
This page brings clarity to plan of action that helps level set the expectations for everyone involved.
Using “If I / Then” statements, teams can bring clarity to what exactly is being measured.
Try to find ways to attach a number to your contributions using if/then statements.
Example: “If I contact 100 people, then 15 are expected to answer” – If the goal is to reach 60 people at milestone one, then we know approximately 400+ calls need to be made.
I like to break things down into three major milestones. There's nothing wrong with adding more along the way. This is just for high-level conversations and tracking with with team members to make sure everyone is aware.
Milestone 1
(The Feel Good marker)
Try to attach a number to things that you’re doing. Example: # of interviews, calls, emails, reviews, revisions, attendance, tech sprints, lines of code, follow-ups, documents created, etc...
Make sure you add a due date.
Milestone 2
(Halfway Marker)
Try to attach a number to things that you’re doing. Example: # of interviews, calls, emails, reviews, revisions, attendance, tech sprints, lines of code, follow-ups, documents created, etc...
Make sure you add a due date.
Milestone 3
(Completion)
Try to attach a number to things that you’re doing. Example: # of interviews, calls, emails, reviews, revisions, attendance, tech sprints, lines of code, follow-ups, documents created, etc...
Make sure you add a due date.
