This project is designed to be crowd-sourced & collaborative. Help is needed with the activities listed below. Consider assigning them to your students for a class project!
Help with documentation of the harmonized variables including both English & Spanish options
Provide clear instructions on how to navigate downloading raw data, including gaining permission to use, if necessary
Edit existing do-files by adding translations of coding annotations to Spanish, improving coding clarity, and establishing parallels in naming conventions and coding structure across do files
Translate Stata do-files to R. This will make code open-access and will provide a quality check
Researchers who harmonize additional variables are encouraged to submit their cleaning files (with doucmentation) for others to use. The harmonization does not have to be across all surveys or even all rounds. Harmonizing within one survey across rounds is still useful.
