We have begun to harmonize data on Time Investments, Preschool Attendance, and "Toy" Investments. These data are often quite different across surveys, so using this data requires much more attention to detail in the differences in construct of the indices across surveys. We generally harmonize this data only for early childhood, since these change significantly in elementary school and adolescence. Some surveys do have data on discipline, however, which extends to further ages. Diet diversity is also an area for future exploration to consider nutrition outcomes. Examples of how some key harmonized variables were constructed are found here. Many surveys do not have these variables in later rounds due to children growing.
