An initiative on raising awareness about diabetes among teens
Our mission is to raise awareness about Type 1 diabetes, inspire youth to share their stories, and provide them with the tools and support needed to navigate their health journey confidently
In a world driven by ambition and progress, health is often taken for granted—until it becomes a daily challenge. As a high school student passionate about social change, I founded Project Amylin with one goal: to make the lives of Type 1 diabetic youth easier by raising awareness and providing tangible support. This initiative, born from personal motivation, now contributes to several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making a real difference in the lives of young diabetics in Kuwait and Bangalore.
Project Amylin was established by Aileen Anthony, a passionate 10th grader at DPS Bangalore East, who is recognized as a future leader by the 1M1B Foundation. Driven by her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people affected by Type 1 diabetes, Aileen founded this initiative to raise awareness, provide essential resources, and foster a supportive community. Through Project Amylin, she aims to empower youth to share their stories, connect with one another, and advocate for better understanding and resources related to diabetes management
Our vision is to create a world where every young person affected by Type 1 diabetes has the knowledge, resources, and support to thrive. We aspire to foster a compassionate community that understands and advocates for diabetes awareness, empowering youth to share their journeys and inspire others.
Our Values include promoting inclusivity, compassion, education and collaboration in various aspects of our project.
