Our team conducted a face-to-face informal meeting with a prospective group of 30 women participants to understand their training requirements in a more detailed manner. Based on our training-need-analysis, we planned, designed, and delivered a 72-hourslong training intervention intended to impact these women’s lives in the following positive ways:
(1) Skill Enhancement & Media Literacy: By conducting a tailor-made training program, we prepared these women for better-paying jobs by enhancing their confidence, communication skills, and basic media literacy.
(2) Employability Enhancement: Through our training intervention, we supported these women to financially empower them, by training them in the right skillset required for better-paying jobs, and also by teaching them how to develop a positive attitude.
(3) Community Building for Knowledge and Information Exchange: We also taught the participants how to build a ‘community of practice’ for sharing knowledge and information within their social circle for sustainable growth and collective awareness.
