The Institute of Photonic Sciences - ICFO
ICFO was founded in 2002 by the Government of Catalonia and the Technical University of Catalonia with the mission to conduct wide-scope, basic and applied research at the highest international level in several branches of Photonics, the science of the generation, transmission and manipulation of light. ICFO now counts more than 60 different laboratories, 350 professionals, 50 nationalities and 24 research groups
ICFO is located in Castelldefels:
