Project Faith is a Mizoram based organisation that aims to nurture holistic development and health behaviours by inculcating the biopsychosocial-spiritual model of intervention for a healthy society by partnering with schools and other like-minded organisations.
"The Lord has been faithful in His promise, and we have seen that time and time again in the way God has directed the path for Project Faith over the years. We are an 'organon,' an instrument for Christ to be used for His glory alone. It is grace alone that has led us to see the 9th year of Project Faith, as God continues to bless us with prayerful, God-fearing, and talented new members, as well as new departments to extend our work for His mission as tentmakers. In a world where we are sent as sheep among wolves, we must be wise as serpents and innocent as doves in every step we take. I believe this also pushes us to creatively use our God-given talents as a medium to serve others, to change someone's life with our acts of kindness and love.
In our endeavour as Project Faith, I am always reminded of the starfish story my mother told me. A boy was walking along the beach after a horrible storm that washed up thousands of starfish on the shore. The boy threw back the starfish into the sea when a passerby reprimanded the child, saying that he cannot save them all and that it doesn't make a difference. The boy then picked up another starfish and replied, 'I made a difference to that one.' It is my prayer that, as Project Faith, we will be able to change someone's life too, wherever God leads us."
"The founder of Project Faith first conceived the vision for this organization while studying in 11th and 12th grade at SRMPS, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where she witnessed the realities of life for students in the boarding school. She shared her burden with her grandmother, Pi Laltanpuii , through phone calls and requested prayers. In 2016, as a 1st-semester Psychology student at Pachhunga University College, she founded the organization with her younger brother, Lalthlanawma, who was then an 11th-grade student and shared her vision.
On October 5, 2016, the first meeting was held with newly recruited members. After much prayer, the theme verse 'Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path' (Psalm 119:105) was selected. Initially, funds were raised through various means to support individuals with serious illnesses in hospitals and fund programs for children in homes. Project Faith's activities include: Caroling during Christmas for families who lost loved ones, Bible study, House fellowship, Fundraising, Creating online content, Praise & worship etc.
During the pandemic, a new department, 'Project Faith Organon Ministry,' emerged, conducting regular online Bible studies. Members thoroughly studied the books of Ephesians and Romans despite physical distances. To this day, Bible study and prayer meetings remain central to Project Faith's working as a team.
In 2023, Project Faith produced its first documentary, "Handprints on the Clay: Mental Health & Christianity," scripted by the founder and featuring an original soundtrack written and sung by the co-founder. The documentary is available on Lersia Play.
In 2024, the founder was selected as a fellow under Youth Involve at Bosco Institute, Jorhat, Assam, and underwent training in social entrepreneurship from February to May. This experience crystallized the idea of Project Faith Academy, focusing on biopsycho-social intervention for holistic health, particularly in cancer care and mental health."
