The project "Enhancing Cognitive and Ethical Sensitiveness: School Students in a Philosophy Class" sponsored by the American Philosophical Association, aims to bring students of secondary and senior secondary level to attend a one-day philosophy class in Delhi/Lucknow. The objective is to assist/help them get acquainted with the Philosophy as a subject, its scope and constructive role in preparing them to think and to make successful decisions ethically and logically in their everyday lives. The basic idea is to induce them to go for inquiry-based learning and help them enhance their capacity to critically think before they act. In brief, this project intends to inculcate in participating students an attitude to critical inquiry, cognitive and ethical sensitiveness and the cultivation of intelligence as one of the major purposes of education. Under this project, a maximum 60 students from various schools in India will be chosen for a one-day (maximum 4 sessions) philosophy class at Kudi Lal Rungta Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Khalilabad, Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India in this/next academic session beginning from July 2020 and ending in September 2021.
