The Project Connect Story
The Project Connect Story
Vijay Sithambaram while working on his Eagle Project during summer break of freshman year did a book drive for an organization in Redwood city. During the process he met with several kids from his community who were very happy to volunteer in his book drive. He could also see the interest and time availability that the other kids had, but were lacking direction on how to approach other avaliable service projects. What happened next?

Halfway through sophomore year, Vijay was asked a question in marketing class about community relationships. He was left pondering and came back the next day and told his friends during lunch about this question and the eye-opening moment that came with it. Vijay had done countless hours of community service, and wanted to take it to the next step. One month later Vijay and his friends started working on solidifying this idea, where they help empower and guide other kids to do meaningful service projects in the community. They believed in connecting the community and wanted to cultivate the volunteerism movement.

From there the idea took on the name Project Connect. Our goal is to bring service projects to the youth in our community, connect the community and spread the volunteersim movement.
