Time to wrap up our Beauty lesson with a little creative writing project!
Remember the subjunctive? Used to give advice (what you NEED to do or what YOU think they ought to do) but also to express...oh...maybe 9 other types of things?
Go back into your notes from last week and choose 5 uses of the subjunctive.
You will use those 5 uses twice (DIFFERENT expressions though each time - NO REPEATS!) to write a quick blog article, helping people to be and feel beautiful. Your advice can be traditional, zany, unusual, original, best practices...any direction you choose to take it. The end result should always be BEAUTY. The way you see it.
Blogs use headers to break up the paragraphs so people can quickly read about what interests them the most. You will do the same for all 5 of your beauty advice points. Within each of your paragraphs you should have a minimum of 2 subjunctives! Yes you can get bonus for MORE!
Blogs use pictures to help break it up as well. Include a picture for each of the paragraphs - it can be pictures of you or Google images. You choose!
JUST No. This is to be your own writing, practicing and becoming a boss with the subjunctive. If Dwayne the Rock Johnson had someone else doing his heavy lifting - he would not look the way he does. Do your own writing. No wimping out! I would rather see a few mistakes than a perfect sentence I know you didn't write. You CAN lose points here peeps!
There is one last requirement: 5 uses of the subjunctive, headers, pictures, and - oh yes - juicy new VOCAB from our unit!!! Use at least 10 in proper context but MORE is always better!
Blogs are for sharing. Submit your link to the discussion post so that others can read your work! Then after reading a few, share some feedback - you will probably discover some BEAUTIFUL advice and authors love to know they are appreciated! [Easy to share - Once you have published your site page, copy the Published Site Link and paste it here.]
Next lundi you will be automatically assigned 2 blogs for peer review. Keep that in mind so that you are sure to submit your blog link BEFORE next Monday! (the peer reviews had specific things they were supposed to look for and they did great with it)
