The graph depicts the total number of accidents that occurred in Barcelona. The Eixample is clearly evident on the tree map as the epicenter of accidents. The area with the most accidents was Eixample, whereas the one with the fewest accidents was Gràcia. Other districts also saw a significant number of accidents in 2017, however, they were less than Eixample.
The graph displays the pattern of accidents that occurred in several areas of Barcelona over the year of 2017. The graph clearly shows that the initial trend was consistent across all districts. The majority of accidents occurred in Eixample, with some fewest occurring in Gràcia. If we compare these two districts, we can see that in November, the trend of accidents skyrocketed in Eixample, with roughly 310 incidents occurring, whereas Ciutat Vella only had 37 accidents, which is relatively low as compared to Eixample.
The above graphic provides a better understanding of the pattern of victims in any accidents that occurred in Barcelona in 2017. The race bar graph clearly shows that Eixample has the largest number of victims than any other district due to the highest number of accidents. In some areas, including Ciutat Vella, Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris, and others, the number of victims is fewer than in Eixample, and in some scenarios, there are no victims.
The graphic is narrating the view of mild injuries which people had faced during any accidents in Barcelona based on the part of the day. It is clearly visible that a total of around 5947 accidents took place in afternoon considering all the districts of Barcelona. The count of the accidents at night was very less than afternoon and morning time which was 1335. Consider Eixample in this bubble chart, it is clearly visible that the number of mild injuries in the afternoon was quite higher than morning and night through the size of the bubble. Gracia had experienced very less number of mild injuries in the afternoon and night but during the morning part of the day Ciutat Vella had experienced less number of mild injuries which was around 208.
The sunburst chart illustrates that about half of all serious injuries occurred in the afternoon due to accidents across all districts, while the remaining half was split into two parts: night and morning. Because of the accidents, the least number of significant injuries occurred at night. The overall number of significant injuries was 78 in the morning, 120 in the afternoon, and 42 at night. The highest serious injuries can easily be determined in the Eixample district of Barcelona in the afternoon and morning, but the tendency is different at night, with the highest serious injuries recorded in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona.
