This semester I have organized an excellent list of invited speakers to attend our university during club hours throughout the semester between 2:30 to 3:45 PM to showcase the work they are doing within the broad and interdisciplinary field of earth and environmental sciences. Many of the talks focused on the intersection between the science they conduct, its interactions with other fields, and how that work can impact society in unique and novel ways. Additionally, these talks shared opportunities that are open to students at the undergraduate level, how to become the aspiring professional you aim to be, and ways you can apply knowledge learned in class that you may have never considered before. These fantastic speakers shared their work with our student body, challenged how you viewed the world, and explained how these processes shaped the world we understand today.
All speaker events were CLUE Certified and in 3N-103 during Club Hours!
March 13 Greg Koumoullos from Con Edison Thermal Energy Networks
