The 18th Annual GIS Day showcased the dynamic and evolving field of geospatial technologies through a hybrid format that combined in-person and virtual participation. With 144 registrants and 111 attendees, this event offered engaging presentations, interactive sessions, and opportunities to connect with geospatial professionals and educators. The event highlighted the growing relevance of GIS in fields like environmental science, urban planning, and transportation.
A special thank you to Nora Santiago and Dr. Jon Peters for their invaluable contributions in organizing this event, along with all of our speakers. Thank you to our partners CSI Sustainability and the CUNY Graduate Center Earth and Environmental Science Program, along with our sponsor the Office of Student Life Campus Activities Board for their generous funding. The support enabled us to provide honorariums for our guest speakers and food for in-person attendees, ensuring a successful and engaging event.
