The textbook that accompany the Physics for Allied Health course - entitled Physics of the Human Body - are finally complete. I'm really happy with how they turned out and super excited to teach this in the spring!
The textbook is for a short one semester algebra-based physics course that focuses on the applications of physics to the human body and medicine - and covers mechanics of the human body, energy and thermodynamics, biological fluid mechanics, speech and hearing, electricity, optics of the eye, biological effects of radiation, and global warming. The course is focused on the needs of students in the Nuclear Medicine and Health Sciences programs at RMU.
In addition, here's the lab manual that I wrote to accompany the course.
