FAQs

1. What if I don't have time to complete my classwork or any graded work on time? What's the policy on late work?

Classwork, online activities and graded work have deadlines for a reason: to provide you with the practice and feedback you need to be as prepared as possible for assessments. For example, if you don't the warm up with the class each day you are missing out on purposeful practice for future assessments.

But as far as your grade is concerned, you can complete work for a lesson by the end of that lesson (marked by the end of lesson assessment) without penalty. However, if you turn in any work after the lesson ends, the highest score you can earn is 50% on each individual assignment.

If you are absent and miss an assessment, you will take it the next day in class.

Example: You did not complete you online activities for lesson 3 by the deadline (the lesson 3 assessment). You may complete the online activities after the lesson 3 assessment, however the highest score you can earn is 50% (which is much better than earning 0%).

2. Where can I get help?

If you have any missing assignments, come in during NEST time as soon as possible. We can complete practice activities together or we can talk through a complicated topic from class.
