Opening prayer
EPP (Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan) is a subject in Grades 4–6 under the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.
It aims to develop practical life skills that learners can apply in daily living and prepare them for future work.
It is the elementary-level equivalent of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) in high school.

EPP is composed of four main components:
Home Economics – Cooking, sewing, budgeting, basic household skills.
Agriculture – Growing crops, raising animals, environmental awareness.
Industrial Arts – Simple woodworking, repairs, using hand tools.
Entrepreneurship – Basic business concepts, marketing, and saving.
These areas aim to:
Promote self-reliance and productivity.
Instill work values and appreciation for manual and technical work.
Encourage environmental stewardship and proper use of local resources.

Makabayan was a learning area in the 2002 Basic Education Curriculum for Grades 1–10, serving as a core of civic education and values.
It integrated several subjects to foster patriotism, cultural appreciation, and social awareness.
Subjects under Makabayan included:
Social Studies / Araling Panlipunan
Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP)
Music, Arts, PE, and Health (MAPEH)
Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) / EPP
Develop well-rounded individuals who are skilled, responsible, and socially aware.
Foster nationalism, values education, and community involvement.
Provide foundational knowledge for future livelihood and entrepreneurship.
Encourage active participation in home, school, and community improvement efforts.
Hands-on learning: Practical activities like planting, crafting, or cooking.
Project-based learning: Creating small businesses or home projects.
Values integration: Emphasizing honesty, diligence, and respect.
Community involvement: Engaging learners in school gardening or clean-up drives.
