History 311 covers U.S. History since 1865. It starts with the American Civil War, and ends around the year 2000.
This is a 16 week, fully online class - there are no face-to-face meetings required.
The assigned textbook for this course is available for FREE online, and other readings will be accessed FREE from the SCC Library.
Weekly assignments will include listening to lecture podcasts, reading textbook chapters and library journal articles, watching film clips and documentaries, online quizzes and discussions with classmates. There is one 1000-word paper assignment, and four exams in addition.
This class will help you develop skills in academic writing, research, and using citations.
