History 310 covers U.S. History to 1877. It starts with the colonization of North America, and ends just after the American Civil War.
This is a fully online class - there are no face-to-face meetings required.
The assigned textbook for this course is available for FREE online, and other readings will be accessed FREE from the SCC Library.
Weekly assignments will include listening to lecture podcasts, reading textbook chapters and library journal articles, watching film clips and documentaries, online quizzes and discussions with classmates. There is one 1000-word paper assignment, and four exams in addition.
This class will help you develop skills in academic writing, online research, and using citations.
