Research Group of Multi-scales Complex physics and Processes

The group links groundbreaking science and solutions for conquering pressing society challenges in response to climate changes and the sector of offshore renewable energy. 

Through the ERC-StG project OceanCoupling, a special focus of the research group for the 2025-2030 period is to develop advanced models for a multi-scales flow system at the atmosphere and sea interface, leading to novel insights into how extreme ocean surface waves play a role in the mass, momentum, and energy transfers at the air-sea interface and regional upwelling of Meridional Ocean Circulation (MOC).
