Desktop Processor Ranking

In the Desktop CPU space, we have a Duopoly between Intel & AMD. In Mainstream Desktops, Intel's Core Series competes with AMD Ryzen. In High-End Desktops & Workstation, Intel's X-Series Processors compete with Threadripper. Finally, in the Servers, AMD's EPYC competes with Intel Xeon.

The focus of this article is mainstream Desktop. Currently, AMD's highest mainstream chips Ryzen 9 3950X has 16 Cores and it will soon be Number 1 in this list after its launch.
