In April 2026, the internationally acclaimed pianist Simon Callaghan joins Maestro Ho-man Choi and Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong for our Easter Concert, performing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23. He will also offer exclusive one-to-one piano coaching sessions to local music students, providing a rare and valuable opportunity to be taught by one of the UK’s leading professors and performers. Drawing on his profound insights and mentorship, these sessions offer advanced guidance from an artist of exceptional calibre. Applications are now open, with limited places available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Simon Callaghan is Professor of Piano at the Royal Northern College of Music and was elected a Steinway Artist in 2012. Deeply committed to teaching, he has led masterclasses, workshops, and private coaching at prestigious institutions including the Royal College of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Chetham’s School of Music, Harrow School and Eton College in the United Kingdom, as well as throughout Europe and Asia.

西門·卡拉漢是英國皇家北方音樂學院的鋼琴教授，並於2012年獲選為施坦威藝術家。他極度致力於教學工作，曾在英國多所著名機構帶領大師班、工作坊及私人指導，包括皇家音樂學院、皇家伯明罕音樂學院、皇家威爾斯音樂與戲劇學院、Chetham’s School of Music、哈羅公學以及伊頓公學，同時也在歐洲及亞洲各地進行教學活動。
