Privacy Policy — Reddo Screen Recorder

Effective date: 19 October 2026 Last updated: 19 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how appydo ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use Reddo – Screen Recorder (the "App", package com.reddo.screen.recorder) on Android.

The short version: your recordings, screenshots, GIFs and edits stay on your device. We don't have accounts, we don't upload your media, and we never see what you record. The App uses Google services for ads, purchases, usage analytics and crash reports, which collect limited technical data described below.

1. What stays on your device

Everything you create with the App is processed and stored only on your device:

Content

Where it's saved

Screen recordings and edited or merged videos

Movies/ReddoScreenRecorder

Screenshots and GIFs

Pictures/ReddoScreenRecorder

Audio extracted from videos

Music/ReddoScreenRecorder

Your settings (quality, audio source, overlays, etc.)

The App's private storage

We do not upload, view, copy, or analyse your recordings, screenshots, audio, camera feed or drawings. They leave your device only when you choose to share them (for example through Android's share sheet), in which case the app you share with handles them under its own policy.

2. Permissions and why we ask for them

The App asks only for what a feature needs, and only when you use that feature. You can revoke any permission in Android Settings at any time; the related feature will stop working.

Permission

Used for

Screen capture (Android's screen-sharing consent)

Recording your screen and taking screenshots. Android asks for your consent for every session, and a status bar indicator shows while capture is active.

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)

Recording your voice, or capturing internal audio from apps that allow it. Audio goes only into your recording file.

Camera (CAMERA)

The optional Face camera bubble shown on screen while you record. The camera image is only displayed on screen and captured as part of the screen recording; it is not saved separately or sent anywhere.

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Showing recording status and the record / pause / stop controls.

Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)

The countdown, floating controls, record button, Brush and Face camera bubble shown over other apps.

Photos, videos and audio (READ_MEDIA_*)

Showing in the Library recordings, screenshots and GIFs the App saved earlier (for example before a reinstall), and letting you pick media to edit.

Foreground services

Keeping recording, the camera bubble, the notification controls and video processing running reliably while the App is in the background, as Android requires.

3. Information collected by third-party services

The App does not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, location or the contents of your recordings. It does use the following Google services, which may collect technical information from your device:

Google AdMob (ads — free version only)

Shows banner and optional rewarded ads. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data to serve, measure and (with your consent where required) personalise ads. Policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Google User Messaging Platform (consent)

In regions where it's required (such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland and certain US states) the App asks for your consent before ads use your data. You can change your choice anytime in Settings › Privacy choices.

Google Play Billing (Pro purchases)

Handles Pro subscriptions and purchases. We never receive your payment details — Google processes payment. We receive only the purchase status needed to unlock Pro on your device. Policy: https://payments.google.com/payments/apis-secure/u/0/get_legal_document?ldo=0&ldt=privacynotice

Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)

Helps us understand which features are used so we can improve the App. It collects app interactions (for example "recording started", "GIF exported", which settings were changed), device model, OS version, app version, approximate country (derived from IP), and an app instance ID. We never log file names, file paths, typed text or the content of your recordings. Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports)

When the App crashes or hits a serious error, a report is sent containing the stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and a Crashlytics installation ID. It does not include your recordings or personal content.

4. How we use information

We use the limited information described above only to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the App.

5. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

6. Data retention

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or India's DPDP Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because we don't hold accounts, we may need your app instance ID (shown on request) to locate data. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

Your media never leaves your device through us. Data sent to Google services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use industry-standard services and keep the data we rely on to a minimum.

10. International transfers

Google may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Recording other people and content

You are responsible for the content you record. Please respect others' privacy and applicable laws — for example, get consent before recording calls or other people, and don't record copyrighted or confidential content you aren't allowed to. See our Terms of Use.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We'll post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date; for significant changes we'll also let you know in the App.
