Web Task Proof Support
Web Task Proof creates timestamped webpage screenshots, lets you redact sensitive details, and exports selected captures as a PDF report.
Getting started
1. Open the webpage you want to document.
2. Select Web Task Proof from the Chrome toolbar.
3. Start a capture from the extension.
4. Review the screenshot and redact sensitive information.
5. Add notes or additional captures as needed.
6. Export the finished report as a PDF.
Privacy and permissions
Web Task Proof accesses the current webpage when you initiate a capture. It uses browser permissions only to perform the capture, store report data locally, and export the PDF. Review the Privacy Policy for details about information handling, storage, retention, and deletion.
Troubleshooting
Capture does not start
• Reload the webpage and try again.
• Confirm that the extension is enabled.
• Some protected browser pages and restricted websites cannot be captured by extensions.
Sensitive information remains visible
• Review every capture before export.
• Apply redaction to the relevant area and confirm the exported PDF contains the redaction.
• Do not share a report until the final PDF has been checked.
PDF does not download
• Confirm Chrome allows downloads.
• Check the browser's configured download location.
• Try exporting the report again after removing any incomplete capture.
Important limitations
Web Task Proof records what was visible when the user initiated a capture. It does not provide a certified timestamp, guarantee authenticity, or replace independently verified legal evidence. Users are responsible for respecting website terms, privacy obligations, and applicable laws when capturing or sharing content.
