At the Georgia Institute of Technology, I was a recipient of the Center for Teaching and Learning's Thank a Teacher program award and the School of Mathematics Outstanding Teaching Evaluations award. 

I've completed MATH 771: Teaching College Mathematics 1 and MATH 772: Teaching College Mathematics 2 at Duke University as well as three workshops and a semester-long course on academic mentorship and inclusive teaching practices.

As an adjunct instructor at Durham Technical Community College, I regularly complete virtual courses on FERPA, Title IX, and the Clery Act.

Outside of teaching at the college level, I've been tutoring at the K-12 and college level for 7+ years. For a year, I served as the lead instructor at a K-12 mathematics tutoring center, where I provided virtual and in-person tutoring, designed materials and curriculum, organized summer math camps, trained other employees, and visited local schools. 

I am an exceptionally patient tutor and particularly experienced in building the confidence of students who are behind, have a weak foundation in previous mathematics coursework, or deal with math anxiety. I'm also trained in working with students with learning disabilities and ADHD.

Note: Students who are currently enrolled in a course with me cannot book me as a private tutor. Instead, they should attend office hours and/or reach out to me via e-mail.
