To make a trading bot you need to have a few things.
A strong understanding of technical analysis
To learn technical analysis you need to study the charts on TradingView. Look for patterns and use statistical calculations to determine significance and to determine when to enter and exit a trade. Excel, R, and the tools built into TradingView can help you. I also use TI-Nspire software.
Enough knowledge to code what you want
Learn how to create your own indicators using pine script via the Pine Script Manual or Youtube Walkthroughs.
A way to run your program on an exchange with high liquidity
Once you create a working bot you then need to connect it to an exchange via API. I recommend sending TradingView alerts to 3 Commas and then connecting Coinbase Pro using API.
After you've completed these you successfully made your own trading bot!
Note: This method works also for stocks or any other asset class. For stock trading bots I recommend connecting TradingView directly to Alpaca.
If you need help with any of these steps contact us and we will help you the best we can and give you our input.
Note: We will not charge for a question or short email. If you request a meeting or if your topic requires us to speak we will charge $50 per meeting which will last no longer than an hour.
If it works better then any of our trading programs we can offer you the chance to make extra money off of it. Assuming your trading program passes all of our tests and analysis then we will use it on our existing funds and pay you a 20% commission for your work in creating the program. We will never own the program, it will always be yours. It will just trade with the extra volume of funds in our account. After multiple months and sufficient testing we will implement your trading program into client portfolios. You will receive a 20% commission of profits incurred by your trading program.
