Philippine Environment Month 2021

June 28, 2021

In celebration of Philippine Environment Month, PrimeWater Panabo conducted a Clean-up Drive in Purok Pantukan, Brgy. J.P. Laurel, Panabo City, Monday, June 28, 2021. This is a 0.5-hectare area adopted by PrimeWater Panabo from Panabo CENRO for tree planting with a target of 5,000 seedlings to be planted within the year and a total of 500 seedlings already planted during the celebration of Earth Day last April 24, 2021.

The Clean-up Drive was done to ensure the cleanliness of the area prior to the scheduled tree planting activities, to promote waste reduction, recycling, and reuse, to create awareness on waste management, and to encourage the Panaboans to join the City Government of Panabo in having a sustainable environment for all.

A total of 0.22 tons of trash were gathered by the 16 volunteers and among the garbage collected were plastics, liquor bottles, and other household wastes.

PrimeWater Panabo's Clean-up Drive is part of PrimeCares, a CSR activity of PrimeWater to help communities in the Philippines. The program is in cooperation with Panabo Water District and Panabo City Environment and Natural Resources Office.
