Global Handwashing Day 2021

October 15, 2021

LOOK: In line with the celebration of Global Handwashing Day, PrimeWater Panabo walk-in customers participated in proper handwashing practice last October 15, 2021.

PrimeWater Panabo’s branch manager Cristina Bonghanoy said they originally held it in schools to educate children by providing engaging learning materials, teaching them on-site the proper handwashing steps but this year, they adjusted the program’s audience to continue their advocacy.

“Our Hand Hygiene Campaign for GHD 2021 aims to spread awareness about the importance of handwashing with soap and drive habit change among our customers. We hope that the participants will then pass on their learnings to their households, especially to children. Let's make handwashing a habit,” the branch manager added.

This impactful Global Handwashing Activity is part of the #AmpingEskwela program by PrimeWater Panabo, a dedicated corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative launched in 2019 under the visionary leadership of BM Cristina Bonghanoy. As strong advocates of enhancing public health and education, PrimeWater Panabo wholeheartedly endorses the comprehensive Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools (WInS) Program, initiated by the Department of Education in February 2016. Through such collaborative efforts, we aim to foster a healthier and more hygienic environment within educational institutions, empowering the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to lead healthier lives.
