We are delighted to be able to welcome GP tutors from across the region for this full day event taking place at the Horizon conference and events space in Leeds. We will have updates from key academic leads from the School of Medicine, Keynote talks, and also lots of opportunities for you to share your placement experiences with fellow tutors.
Welcome to our 2025 Primary Care Development Day! This event serves as an opportunity for us to thank you all for the commitment and hard work you have given to providing medical student placements this year. The dedication and support you continually show to Leeds medical students is invaluable, and we hope this event goes some way towards showing our appreciation on behalf of the School of Medicine.
We are very pleased to welcome this year's keynote speakers to our event; Sir David Haslam and Professor Margaret Ikpoh. We will be running our popular student/tutor Placement Forums, and also afternoon workshops on topics including Perspectives on Professionalism, Acronyms to essays; how should we document in Clinical Notes, and How to run mock OSCEs for students in primary care. The event is a chance for all our GP tutors running student placements to get together, share best practice, re-connect with the School of Medicine, and spend some time on their own Continuing Professional Development.
We hope you enjoy the day!
