GENERAL PRICE FACTORS

Skeb vs Sketch vs Illustration:

I have three different methods to my current style of commissions that I can offer at tiered price levels depending on the scale and attention to detail given.Here are the key differences:

Skeb

Only offered through Ko-Fi or batch openings. See my Ko-Fi for examples!
NO WIP STAGE!!! This is meant to be a very fast turn-around commission. You give me your character's reference sheet, and leave the rest to me (unless I miss a marking that was in the reference sheet or something like that). If your character has a short bio or personality blurb in the image itself or description, I'll reference it when picking the pose and expression. It's kind of like getting an attack on artfight, and most of my examples are artfight attacks!
Smaller resolution sizes (600-1200px)
Headshots only, no full-bodies
Messy, textured, sketchy lineart
Basic shading
No backgrounds
The cheapest commission type I offer!

Sketches

Medium resolution sizes (1500-2400px)
Messy, textured, sketchy lineart
Simple backgrounds only.
A commission type that is more expensive than Skeb Portraits, but you get WIP stages.

Illustrations

High resolution sizes (3000-5000px)
Clean lineart
Higher detail
WIP stages
This is the most expensive commission type I can offer if you're looking for a big, clean, high res illustration of your character with more precise attention to detail.

Fullbody vs Headshot vs Bust

Commissions are priced on a basis of being a full body illustration, or cropped as a headshot or bust shot.A headshot includes at minimum the character's head/face and as much as their whole neck, or a portion of their neck if they have a very long neck like a sauropod.A bust shot includes up to the character’s shoulders and chest and the upper visible part of their wings if any.A fullbody shot includes the character's whole body, unless cropped for cinematic scenes with a background.

No Backgrounds vs Simple Background

In commissions with No Background, the background will be a one-color fill. The commissioner may request a transparent version of their commission free of charge.Simple Backgrounds increase the commission's price significantly due to the amount of time spent compositing a scene rather than a character portrait and in conceptualizing all of the background elements. Simple backgrounds are intended take less than 2 hours to render and are painted linelessly aside from important props. You may give me artistic liberty on your character's background, in which you will most likely get a nature themed background, or let me come up with a background based on your character's personality or simplified backstory, or request a specific biome and a few geographical features, like a cliff.

COMPLEXITY FEES

Humanoid/Complex Design:

+50-100 USD Humanoid
+20-60 USD Complex Design (Scales, Outfits, Tattoos, High Detail)
+20/30 USD Large Wings (colored/shaded)
+??? Additional Props

Complex design fees are fees that applies to characters with complex designs and humanoids because for as much as I love drawing people, I have to admit it's significantly more challenging for me than drawing simple feral creatures! Some additional factors that will incur this fee are large wings, multi-layered outfits with accessories, extremely high detail markings or tattoos, and other props that you wish for your character to be interacting with. The exact price adjustment will depend on the complexity of the request on a case by case basis. I will give you the quote for your commission upon accepting your commission or adding you to the wait-list, and this quote won't change unless you decide not to commission and later commission me again.

Special Effects: +15-70 USD per effect

Simple things like fire, dust, clouds, debris, and glows, which alone don't make a simple background, but do require some effort on my part to produce, will be charged a fee.

ANATOMY STYLE OPTIONS

Anthro vs Feral

Even if you only have an Anthro style or a Feral style reference sheet, I am happy to offer either style for animal characters only. Real or fantasy species!Extremely humanoid anthro styles may incur the Humanoid Design fee. The deciding factor is typically whether the face, neck, arms, and hands are predominantly human-shaped.

Anthro style

Anthropomorphic, bipedal, "furry" anatomy. The animal-based character has been stylized with human-like anatomy, and has more human-like eyes.

Feral Style

The most realistic, natural form the character's species can take. Typically quadruped but can also be bipedal like a therapod. Can also be a taur, fusing quadrupedal and anthro forms.

Important Note: Beware, my "anthro style" is not very consistent these days. You can pick from my gallery if there's an anthro style I've drawn that you like, or leave it up to chance that what I draw doesn't end up looking too "uncanny." I will charge for revisions of the sketch WIP stage if you find you don't like what you see after leaving it up to chance.

Shaded + Complex BG Illustration

Available Only through YCH's

Complex backgrounds have more detailed background elements. This type of background is only available through YCHs, where I've already drawn the background, often times after experimenting or practicing on my own time. Then I offer to draw your character in the scene, usually through an auction on my deviantArt account, but sometimes at a flat rate.

Occasionally during a Simple BG commission, I may go above and beyond in the background painting, at no cost to the commissioner, but not on request of the commissioner.
