Frequently Asked Questions

Hello, and welcome to my Frequently Asked Questions page! Please have a look! <3

I'll be updating this regularly whenever new common questions pop up that I find myself answering multiple times!

Art Related

Literally just via practice! I have a lot of drive to exceed my current skill level until I get to where I want to be, then create a new goal and work to improve further. Never stop being inspired to make art that makes you happy. <3
It helps to look up tutorials on all the technical how-to's with any programs/tools you wish to use to make art, as well as tutorials that give you tips on specific things like drawing backgrounds, perspective, anatomy, etc.! c: Don't be afraid to ask other artists questions, but please be specific with exactly what you'd like to know.
I am not open for trades, but if we're mutuals, feel free to ask!
Feel free to ask! For comfort reasons, I'd prefer to work with others at similar art experience levels as me so that our workflows are able to crossover more easily. I may be busy sometimes, but I would love to connect with other artists in this way! Especially if we have shared interests. :) <3
Nope.
I can't tutor you from the ground up if you haven't yet developed the motivation to practice on your own time, but feel free to ask for specific tips, especially during art streams! If I have time and am up for it, I'd be more than happy to try to offer and demonstrate any tips that I know.
No guarantees I'll get to it, but I accept suggestions of this nature to consider for later!
I primarily use Paint Tool Sai (v1 for now) and Clip Studio Paint for drawing. I use Clip Studio Paint for animating and recording timelapses. I use OBS Studio for recording timelapses of art drawn in Paint Tool Sai. I use OBS Studio to stream art. Lastly, I use Vegas Pro 16 to edit timelapse videos!
I like to use a 0.5 mechanical pencil to sketch on just about any paper, especially paper that is not intended for use as a canvas haha. But printer paper works just fine for me. Then I'll usually lineart my sketches with any old working black ink ball point pen. I have to wait for the ink to dry before erasing the pencil lines with a rubber eraser, else I'll often get streaks. More often than naught I get streaks anyway. Then I may photograph the lineart with my own phone and at least one light source that isn't the camera flash to be colored digitally. In programs such as Paint Tool Sai or Clip Studio Paint, I can clean up the lineart of any streaks or imperfections. If I decide to color the inked lineart traditionally, I tend to use crayola coloring pencils after carefully color picking the right colors for each swatch. I used to shade my traditional art by increasing the pressure of the coloring pencil coloring, but due to impending wrist pain, I no longer shade traditionally, and instead either use a different, darker color, or shade digitally.
