General Information:

I have been teaching full-time since January 2011, and my entire teaching experience has been in Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City). I have had experience as a teacher of English for both General and Academic English, as well as experience as a trainer, manager and IELTS examiner as well, with the majority of this EFL experience with British Council Vietnam. I am currently in my third year at the Reigate Grammar School of Vietnam, an IB K-12 international school in Hanoi, where I work with the EAL department to support subject teachers on differentiation strategies to support the range of student skill levels and learner preferences. My role also consists of being a homeroom teacher, providing language skills lessons, and co-teaching in subject classrooms. From September 2022 to June 2022 I taught ELA MYP IB curriculum at Reigate Grammar School of Vietnam. During this time, I was the curriculum lead for the Grade 6 level, and I very much enjoyed this work. As I continue teaching in the international school context in Vietnam, I will look to develop my skills in the teaching and development of IB and Cambridge curriculum. While I will always employ my EFL pedagogical knowledge in the classroom, I look forward to new professional experiences in the ELA classroom.
