For European Week of Sport 2022 all partners organised various sport events trying to engage as many rural youth as possible and promoting the European sport initiatives altogether reaching over 750 participants.
In Bulgaria the project coordinator “Youth and Civil Initiatives in the Rose Valley” NGO organised several sport events in the rural area of Municipality of Karlovo reaching over 100 people.
In the rural town of Kalofer we organized a sport festival at a sports field renovated by the young people of the town under a small-scale youth project we funded. After stretching and team building exercises the young people played football, basketball, volleyball and traditional local game called “people’s ball”.
We also organized a sport biking activity and team games for the children in the village of Vedrare to promote social inclusion through sport for the Roma children and youth. In the evening we also organized a football match for the youth and adults in the village.
The Romanian partner “Mod of Life” Association organised 4 sport activities in partnership with the high schools in Drobeta Turnu Severin and with general schools from 7 villages, promoting sport among rural youth involving over 250 participants.
First they organized a marathon in the park promoting healthy lifestyle and outdoor sport activities for all. At the activity took part around 100 young people from the villages of: Corcova, Jidostita, Malovat, Corlatel and Tamna.
Second, they organised a handball competition with 7 school teams from rural area of Vanju Mare, Corlatel, Simian, Cujmir and Salcia, involving 80 young people.
They also organized football sport tournament in Titeica Highschool and sport activities in Scoala Malovat, a small village in Mehedinti county.
The Lithuanian partner organised sport events for European Week of Sport 2022 in their school "SILALES R. LAUKUVOS NORBERTO VELIAUS GIMNAZIJA" during which Nordic walking, frisby, discgolf were taught, games were played and relay marathon was organized for 140 participants of various ages running a distance of 42 km in sections of 195 m. In the Šilalė pine forest, an autumn cross-country race was held, in which students from all schools in the district participated.
The Conrad Student Sports Club from Poland organized several judo training events for the European Week of Sport 2022 promoting the activities of their sport club among rural children and youth. Activities were attended by over 100 children and youth.
The Cypriot parter “ Blue Cherry Academy for Youth and Adults” NGO organized for European Week of Sport 2022 biking event along the coastal lane of Limassol, attracting local sport clubs and partners for the event. Over 100 people joined the activity.
