All rates are based on the amount of time it takes to complete each project. Before any commitment, we will look at your ruleset to give you a general quote on cost and timeframe. Once agreed upon, we will set a budget and begin work.
We will invoice at the end of the project. PayPal is the preferred payment method, but accommodations can be made otherwise. A complimentary copy of the game would be great as well.
Proofreading focuses on grammatical correctness, typos, and inconsistencies. Here, we dot all of the “i”s and cross all of the “t”s, making certain that sentences are mechanically correct.
Stylistic editing takes the basic proofreading service and adds a more holistic approach to the ruleset. Beyond periods and semicolons, we strive for your document to not only be grammatically sound, but also stylistically consistent throughout. This means that terms, ideas, and headings are all the same, maintaining clarity and precision. Stylistic editing is far more involved, necessitating contact with you, the creator, to make certain that we know exactly what you are trying to say and how you want to say it.

There are a few things you need to know about game themes we will not edit and ideas we will not budge from.
These are nonnegotiable:
We always use the third person gender-neutral "they/them." We will change each instance of "he/him" or "she/her." If using names for examples, we will try to equally distribute names as to not align with only one gender.
While we have done so in the past, we will not work on games with colonial themes. The usurping, subjugation, and extermination of a people are not topics we want to be aligned with. This includes medieval, crusades, exploration, 4X, and more.
War games are different and interesting, as long as they are simulations. Regardless, we will not work on games where players take on the role of "evil" powers, as in the Axis of World War II.
