Click the buttons below to launch the AvB application either in a new browser tab or launch AvB within a page of this site. At this time, AvB documentation is quite limited.
Why provide two different ways to launch? Because, launching AvB from within a page looks "more integrated", allows one to easily navigate to other pages, and get information about page updates and report copyright issues [1]. However,
these additional page controls take up valuable screen space on small devices making it more difficult to find touches and create playlists, and
additional security restrictions imposed on embedded web apps force some intuitively simple tasks (e.g., expanding an element to full screen, selecting a previously downloaded video, etc.) to require more user interactions than usual.
None of these are problems when AvB is launched in a separate browser tab. That said, opening in a new tab also has some issues. As a result, both are being made available and as development advances, one or the other approach may be dropped in favor of the other.
That said, it's possible to eliminate many of the limitations above by using Google Cloud Storage (GCS) in lieu of Google Drive to house our over 10000 touch videos(!). An early proof of operation seems to very promising [2].
