Team leaders - it is VERY IMPORTANT that you direct your team members to the registration link (https://bit.ly/bozeman-plunge-reg) to register BEFORE they follow your link to set up their fundraising page... If you have a team of young people, you can register them yourself (ten at a time) and then hand them their waiver form that their parent or guardian needs to sign - and collect those yourself and send them to the state office. If you have a team of adults, they each need to register individually.

Visit the SOMT website for the Cool Schools packet and the Plunge Toolkit!

Start at www.justgiving.com and click Start fundraising

Create an account or just log in if you already have a just giving account.

Complete your profile.

Search for Special Olympics Montana and choose the Polar Plunge you wish to participate in.

Create the end of YOUR page's URL (this is not the URL of your team page). Please opt in to SOMT emails at least until the plunge is over - at which time you can unsubscribe if you don't want to receive them any longer. Create your page.

it will give you an opportunity to donate to your own page! You can say not now... and move on...

Here you can edit your page (or wait for later... instructions for that are on the Individuals tab...) this is also where you create your team.

Name your team here and click "Let's go!"

This screen is just verifying that your team will be fundraising for this specific event. Click Continue.

You can click "Remove Photo" if you want to replace it with a photo of your team or any other photo or logo... You can also customize the story... we would recommend leaving in something about the plunge and the date. time, and location. Click Continue.

This is where you can set a team goal as well as a goal for team members if you choose. You also need to create the back end of your TEAM'S URL. Click "Create your team."

Now click on members at the top. This is where you can set whether people can join by only or whether it is open to all, what the team members' fundraising targets are, and a button to go ahead and invite team members.

From here you can invite team members with a link (if it is a closed group) OR you can send them to your page with the URL where they can join the team (if you have allowed it to be open to all).


It's very important that all of your team members get registered BEFORE they join your team and set up their page. Please direct them to register at the link below FIRST. If you have a team of young people, you can register all of them yourself (although each will need a waiver signed by their parent.) If you have a team of adults, each of them need to register him or herself because that is how adults sign the waiver.
