My family has lived in Prescott for over 20 years and we love our community! I graduated from Prescott High School in 2019, having participated in both orchestra and band all four years.
I currently attend Brigham Young University - Idaho and study music education with an emphasis in teaching orchestra. I will graduate in April 2026 and go on to pursue a Master's degree in orchestral conducting.
I've performed in all sorts of settings, including four different orchestras at BYU-Idaho. Recently, I helped teach and conduct the university orchestra for non-music majors and we performed an arrangement I wrote for them. If you are interested in watching, here is the video of that performance!
Music has always played a significant role in my life! I started piano at age 5 and picked up violin several years after that. I enjoy performing, conducting, and arranging music. I often compose arrangements of church hymns for my local congregation. In 2020-2022 I served as a missionary in Washington and Spain for my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had many opportunities to share the love of God through music during that time.
Music has a unique capacity to inspire people of all types, and the rising generation has enormous potential to further the mission of music as they learn instruments, sing, and become aware of the great variety of music that is out there in the world. Through my own music endeavors, including Prescott Summer Strings, I hope to share some of my love for music with young people who in turn can share it with others as well!
