Hooray for Spring!

Rainbow Fun!

When we think of spring, we also think of rain and rainbows! For the Little STEAMers, kids will be doing a Skittle Rainbow experiment and making a kaleidoscope!

Materials:

Fun pack of Skittles, paper tube, mirrored cardstock precut, cardstock circle with hole, and straw.

You provide water, markers or crayons and tape.

U is for Umbrella

  1. Trace the letter U and small letter u with your fingers. What shapes do you see in the letters?

  2. Make the letters Uu with your hand in the air.

  3. Glue the Umbrella and raindrops onto your paper with the letter Uu.

  4. Go on a Letter U hunt! Find things around your house that begin with the letter U and take pictures! You can make a digital picture dictionary!

  5. Point out the letter Uu as you go about your day.

Color sort and count!
