John Innkeeper runs the Bargewright Inn, a hideaway for the secretive Zhentarim and their contractors. He has business across the river in Womford, and has promised a hefty payout if you can keep the Inn running till noon.

A shady figure with little identification, the Green Vulture was found dead in the dining room with a note that read "Tell Kendrin - it's Chalaska."
Firbolg Cabin Boy - He/Him
Grendo is John's ward and the janitor of Bargewright Inn. He is used to the way John runs things, and is rather frustrated that Barney is making a great deal of changes.
Human Head of Security - She/Her
A hot-headed mercenary hired to keep the Inn drama-free, Chalaska is not worried about ruffling feathers. An incriminating note on the Green Vulture's body calls her out, and a bloody sword was found in her bunk.
Water Genasi Mercenary - She/Her
A low tier mercenary in Chalaska's employ, Shoalar likes to talk up her status to shake a few extra pennies out of travelers.
Halfling Mercenary - He/Him
Shoalar Quanderil's lackey, he possesses the same untrustworthiness without any of the tact.

The tactically-challenged cook of the Inn. He was last seen fleeing from the Inn after Miss Hattitude clocked his culinary secret.
Dwarf Handyman - He/Him
The shredded all-purpose handyman hired by John Innkeeper. Inglor is a lover of the arts, and the first audience member of the Inn's new corpse-like "performance art piece".

Half Gnome, Half Jukebox. Encore has bested Fum Tumble in a battle of the bands, and is kind of smug about it.
Half-Elf Exotics Trader - He/Him
Kendrin is an easily frightened old man who trades in illegal creatures. He received a note telling him to escape the Inn, though he does not know who from.
Centaur Mercenary - They/Them
A centaur mercenary accompanying Solair the druid. They dislike the new rules implemented halfway through their stay.
Dryad Botanist - She/Her
A calm-tempered traveler on her way to a gathering of spellcasters in the Dessarin Valley. She travels with Standing Oak.
Bugbear Ruffian - He/Him
A bumbling pugilist, Krag is a brute, but is always down for a good-natured wrestling match
Pixie Crime Lord - He/Him
A smug contractor of the Zhentarim, Woodlord Farnell is hard to handle. His reputation precedes him, and few cross him for their own peace of mind.
Drow Thief - She/Her
A traveling thief in the employ of Woodlord Farnell. She is a quiet presence, and little is known about her.

Tacitus Thiccbeard was a pirate captain renowned throughout the Sword Coast for his fair wages and inclusive ship rules. Turns out, unfortunately, he's secretly a gnasty freak and the world is probably better off with him dead.
