Find the MIRABAR DELEGATION in RED LARCH
You have been hired to transport Captain Thiccbeard's goods to a small independent town in the Dessarin Valley called RED LARCH. Once there, you will insure the fair exchange of these goods with an inter-faction delegation from the Northern City of MIRABAR.
Opening Thiccbeard's silver chest, you have discovered a STRANGE ROCK GOLEM, which Barney promptly named "Arf". What is it, and why does the Mirabar Delegation want it?
Investigate your ATTACKERS
On your way to Red Larch, your ship was attacked by Cultists wearing Stone Masks. It seemed as if they knew where you would be, and were searching for something...
Interrogating the blind cultist Rhinivere, you learned that she worships something called "THE BLACK EARTH." Before you could learn more, the cultist managed to slip free and take her own life.
Manage BARGEWRIGHT INN until Noon
After proving your reliability to JOHN INNKEEPER, a Zhentarim power broker, you were hired to manage a roadside Inn. If you can keep the place running until Noon, John promised you half of the night's earnings.
One of the Inn's guests was murdered last night. On his body, you found a note incriminating the Inn's Head of Security, CHALASKA.
Located in the wilds of the Sword Coast, the Dessarin Valley is known far and wide for its deep connection to the natural elements. The land is only lightly settled; much of the area is occupied by mystical forests inhabited by all sorts of strange creatures. Rangers and druids who pass through the area claim to feel more in-tune with nature, while magic users describe a newfound feeling of raw magical power.
Due to the Dessarin Valley's proximity to major economic hubs such as Neverwinter and Waterdeep, the roads passing through have become vital trade routes. Factions from all across the sword coast have a vested interest in the area, and seek to gain influence in the small settlements dotting the land.
