Another example of a predator/prey relationship is the gray wolf and the elk. In this relationship, we have the gray wolf being the predator, and the elk being the prey. In the winter at Yellowstone Park, it is said that 90% of the grey wolves' prey are elk!! While they also prey on animals such as deer or bison, they typically hunt elk, especially in the winter. While in the winter they typically hunt in groups, in the summer they hunt individually, which could help explain how they kill a large amount of the much bigger elks in the winter.
