FUN RUN TREES WERE PLANTED!

We are finally seeing tangible results from all of our planning and your amazing support over the past two (and a half) years!

This is the first step of the visual improvements made to our wonderful school via the Fun Run fundraiser. As you’ve probably noticed, there used to be trees on the western/southwestern side of the school, but all that remained were stumps or holes.  Now, that side of the school will have three more lovely maple trees to provide shade and shelter for kids and parents, as well as future habitats for beneficial birds and bugs.

Please help your kiddos learn that we need to be careful with young trees to allow them to root properly and become a strong tree that will last for years to come. Doing so not only helps the trees, but helps our school continue to look and be the best it can be - with our help.

The shade structure is the next and final step in this process, and we’re just waiting on it to be fabricated. We ran into hurdles through the permitting process, which set us back a few months. We were hoping to have it in prior to the school year, but late is better than never!
