Pranav's research involves designing experiments and implementing data-driven approaches to study human interactions with products, systems, and environments. His work focuses on creating novel products, improving traditional assessment techniques, and developing guidelines for the effective real-world implementation of devices. Major projects include designing adjustable vehicle backrests, developing objective methods for assessing movement alterations in stroke patients, and evaluating the impacts of industrial exoskeletons. Pranav earned his PhD in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His experience spans human factors, ergonomics, and occupational biomechanics, including designing systems to reduce injury risk and improve workplace safety and productivity. He has also worked in mechanical and industrial design, where he optimized products such as bipedal robotic systems, driver compartment interiors, and hydraulic systems for industrial vehicles. Pranav holds an MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a BE in Mechanical Engineering. His research interests include applying Human Factors principles to develop user-centric product designs aimed at enhancing comfort, safety, and efficiency.
