MISSION STATEMENT
The Prairie Fishing Club/Team was created to give College Community students, ranging from 7th to 12th grade, the opportunity to learn and grow in the sport of fishing, so that it can become a lifelong passion. In addition, our fishing team’s goal is to offer anglers the opportunity to fish in tournaments and competitions against other like-aged anglers within our community, state, and nation.
PRAIRIE FISHING TEAM:
This team will be mainly based around the sport of fishing for bass, but as we evolve, we may branch out and find opportunities for targeting other species. This year we will only have a fishing team which will focus on students competing in virtual and team competitions. Students are not required to attend every virtual tournament or competition but it is highly recommended in order for the anglers to grow in the sport. Students will be learning and interacting together when we are hosting our learning opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY:
Anyone who will be in 7th-12th grade at Prairie High School starting in the spring of 2024. This sport is open to all young men and women to compete. **Seniors will only be able to fish up to the end of July.
