Internships and Training
Pursued industrial training in Aircraft Research and Design, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Learnt about the various state of the art technologies being incorporated to manufacture defence aircrafts. Got a good grasp on various parts of an aircraft and the aerodynamic aspects involved. Learnt about the intricate aspects involved in designing and analysis of an aircraft and observed the manufacturing and assembly of various aircraft parts.
Performed a project study on the numerous Fabrication Processes at Control Equipment - Fabrication, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Learnt about the various types of manufacturing processes involved in power transmission and distribution. Learnt about material selection and treatment processes based on their various applications. Closely observed the working of various machines and equipment. Got a very good introduction to CNC Programming and Metrology.
Projects
Participated in National Kart Racing Championship (NKRC) Season 4. Involved in designing and manufacturing of a go-kart. The go-kart was built keeping all the design parameters specified in the NKRC handbook. The designing was carried out in Autodesk Inventor. Various tests like Brake test, Skid-pad, Traction, etc., were carried out to check the effectiveness of the kart. Learnt about various parts of automobiles and the concepts of designing and manufacturing.
Cleared for Zonal Level Screening in DRDO Robotics and Unmanned Systems Exposition (DRUSE), 2018 for conceptualisation and design of a six-legged robot capable of negotiating rocky mountainous terrain to transport logistics to the target person or destination. The conceptualized robot was a six-legged hexapod capable of traversing mountainous terrains with an inclination of up to 65 degrees. The robot’s uniquely designed mechanical and pneumatic actuated gripper allowed it to traverse terrains inaccessible to humans. The aim of the project was to carry a payload of 50 kgs. The robot was given the name, Hexa Alpinist.
Worked on developing a Triphibian Robot as a college-level project. The robot was capable of moving on land, water and air. Learnt the various concepts involved in building multi-rotors. Also, got an exposure into the area of water vehicles.
